The questions we hear most before someone tries EUDAbridge.
What does EUDAbridge actually do?
It turns a structured Excel spreadsheet of your product data into validated, upload-ready EUDAMED XML — DEVICE and UDI_DI files, in the order EUDAMED expects them. It covers MDR devices and legacy MDD/AIMDD devices.
Is EUDAbridge affiliated with the European Commission or EUDAMED itself?
No. We're an independent tool, not an official part of EUDAMED. You always submit the final XML through your own organization's EUDAMED account — we never submit on your behalf.
What happens to the data I upload?
It's used only to generate your validation report and XML file — nothing more, nothing shared with anyone else.
Do I need to install anything?
No. EUDAbridge is a web application — upload your spreadsheet, review the results, and download your files, all in the browser.
My spreadsheet doesn't match the template exactly — will that break it?
Usually not. Rule-based mapping handles common variations, and an AI-assisted pass proposes a mapping for column headers it doesn't recognize — you review and approve every mapping before anything is processed.
Which EUDAMED actions are supported?
New device registration (Basic UDI-DI + UDI-DI), adding a UDI-DI/Master UDI-DI to an existing Basic UDI-DI, updating a Basic UDI-DI, updating a UDI-DI/Master UDI-DI, and updating market information — pick one from the upload screen, or let it process everything at once.
Does EUDAbridge support IVDR/IVD devices?
Not yet — IVDR/IVDD templates are planned alongside broader IVD support.
Can a consultant or agency manage more than one client?
Yes. A consultant account manages every client's EUDAMED data from a single login, switches between client workspaces without separate sign-ins, and each client's data stays fully separate from the others.
I'm a consultant without my own EUDAMED SRN — can I still sign up?
Yes — SRN is optional at signup for consultant accounts. You can add it later if you register your own entity.
Is two-factor authentication available?
Yes, for every account type — an authenticator app (TOTP) plus one-time backup codes, set up from the Account page.
What languages is EUDAbridge available in?
English, French, German and Italian — switch anytime from the language selector in the header.
Can I try it before paying?
Yes — start a free trial, no card required. Pricing itself is tiered; consultants and agencies are quoted separately from direct manufacturers, see the Partners page.
What happens to my data if I stop paying?
You keep access to your data either way — continuing on a paid plan is a choice, not a condition for getting your own information back.
